PETALING JAYA: The public can still walk in to get their Covid-19 vaccinations at 13 vaccine dispensing centres (PPV) in the Klang Valley and Putrajaya, says the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF).
“The CITF found that the number of walk-in vaccinations among Malaysians has decreased daily since the programme began on Aug 2.
“As such, walk-in for Malaysians in Klang Valley will continue at 13 PPVs,” the CITF said in a statement issued on Sunday. (Aug 22).
The CITF noted the decision to continue the walk-in for Malaysians was based on data compiled since the start of the programme.
It added that walk-ins at PPVs would be based on a first-come-first-served basis.
Walk-in vaccinations for Malaysians in other states will continue, but this would be left to respective states to decide.
The CITF also noted that walk-in vaccinations for foreigners at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium PPV would cease this Monday. (Aug 23).
It added that foreigners who want to get vaccinations would need to make an appointment first.
“This is so that the vaccination process of foreigners, which had seen good response, is conducted in a safer and more comfortable manner,” the CITF said.
